ABOUT ME
I am a Marital and Family Therapist (License No. LMFT84382) and a registered Art Therapist (ATR) in private practice in the Encino area of the San Fernando Valley. In addition to my private practice work, I am an art therapist at Loyola Marymount University’s Helen B. Landgarten Art Therapy Clinic, and a faculty Art Therapy supervisor for Loyola Marymount's graduate department of Marital and Family Therapy. I am also an instructor for The Pump Station & Nurtury, where I teach weekly Mommy & Me classes.
I completed a dual Master of Arts degree in Marital and Family Therapy and Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University, where I received the Helen Landgarten Scholar award and a fellowship in their art therapy clinic. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley.
I gained my clinical experience at Ocean Park Community Center, Santa Monica Alternative School House, Bay Area Addiction Research and Treatment Programs, and the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Research Program of the University of California San Francisco at the San Francisco Veterans’ Administration. I have worked with children, adolescent, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, low self esteem, parenting challenges, domestic violence, homelessness, and substance abuse. I have conducted research on the use of art-based storytelling in the treatment of trauma and have presented at local and national art therapy conferences.
