ABOUT THERAPY
Sometimes our emotions and experiences can feel overwhelming and out of our control. At those times, it is necessary to talk about what's happening and get support. In therapy, I focus on creating a safe and trusting relationship as a base from which we will explore your needs, fears, and desires. As a therapist, I am collaborative, empathetic, honest, and real. My approach incorporates elements of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and post-modern theories.
Therapy is an extremely rewarding and challenging experience. Coming to therapy is a courageous act that carries risks as well as many benefits. Acknowledging your experiences and sharing them aloud can be painful. However, it is usually much more painful to keep those experiences and emotions shut inside. In therapy, I will help you to identify tools and techniques to work with the difficult thoughts and feelings and develop your inner strengths and resources.
