I provide collaborative and empathetic psychotherapeutic treatment for adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, with a focus on helping creative adults and mothers and fathers adjusting to parenthood or experiencing postpartum challenges.
Many adults struggle with major life transitions, experiencing anxiety, depression, uncertainty and loss of sense of self. An experienced and attuned therapist can help you overcome roadblocks that impede growth and fulfillment. I provide sensitive, non-judgmental treatment and will support and challenge you to identify and achieve your goals.
I have specialized training and board-certification in art therapy, which is an extraordinarily healing process that uses images to express thoughts and feelings that are hard to put in words. Art therapy requires no experience or even comfort with artistic expression. It only requires a willingness to make your thoughts and feelings visible so you can examine them from a new perspective with the support of a trained clinician.
I additionally have extensive experience working with mothers and fathers adjusting to parenthood. I have specialized training in Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International and I teach Parent & Me classes and lead groups for new mothers.
As a therapist, I am collaborative, empathetic, honest, practical, and real. I offer a complimentary telephone consultation to discuss your needs and determine whether my approach is the right fit for you.

PsychoTherapy
In therapy, I focus on creating a safe and trusting relationship as a base from which we will explore your needs, fears, and desires. My approach incorporates elements of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and post-modern theories. I will help you to identify tools and techniques to develop your inner strengths and resources.
art therapy
"A picture is worth a thousand words." Art therapy invites you to express experiences and feelings through visual, tangible images. No artistic skill is needed. Art therapy is widely used in schools, hospitals, and private practices, and its effectiveness has been demonstrated through research and clinical experience.
support for new parents
I have extensive experience supporting mothers and fathers of babies and young children. I provide treatment for post-partum depression and anxiety, relationship challenges after baby, and development of a new parent identity, with awareness and education about baby development. I also facilitate Parent & Me groups.
